Set Data Services Connections

Connection information used by SAP Data Services must be configured at the Target Source level. This connection is then tested to ensure that Data Services can connect to the source instances.

To configure a source for SAP Data Services:

1. Click Collect >Target in theNavigation pane.
2. Select dgRepository_IS.
3. Click Sources icon.

4. Click Add.

   View the field descriptions for the Target Sources page

5. Select ISSAP from the SOURCE list box.

6. Select the connection type for the Information Steward repository from the CONNECTIONTYPE list box.

   NOTE: The installation default is SQL Server.

7. Select SAP Information Steward from the SYSTEMTYPE ID list box.
8. Click Save; Vertical View displays.
9. Click Advanced Settings tab.

10. Click Edit.

11. Select the connection type in the Data Services Connection Type list box.
12. Click Save.
13. Click Connection Settings.
14. Enter values as needed.
15. Click Save.
16. Close Vertical View.
17. Click Test Connection in the Page toolbar.
18. Click Build And Refresh icon on Page toolbar to build package and download tables from source; a confirmation message displays. 
19. Click Ok.
