Set Up Security for Promote

Setting up security in Promote is a multi-step process. Users are granted access to specific pages and tasks based on the security role.

  1. Create users. Refer to Create User Accounts in System Administration for more information.

  1. Assign the user to a Security Role. Refer to Assign Users to Security Roles for more information. Options are:

  • Promote Code Promotion Manager—can perform all tasks within Promote except assign approvers or approve requests. Assign users to this security role who are familiar with Promote and the associated project change management.

  • Promote Approve—can assign approvers and approve requests
