Modify Actions

When using the Automation Engine, a task, task group or action ID can be used to create the automation instructions. If using an action ID in the automation process, the task or group and the settings of the action execution can be modified on the Automation Engine Action page.

To customize actions:

  1. Select Automation Engine > Automation Engine Action in the Navigation pane.
  2. Click Add.

  3. Enter an action in a Stewardship Tier component that calls the AE task or task group in the ACTION field.
  4. Select an AE task or task group from AEID list box.

    NOTE: If the SYSTEM SUPPLIED field is enabled, the record cannot be edited or deleted once it is saved.

  5. Click Save.
  6. Click Vertical View for Action to further configure action.
  7. Click Edit.

  8. Enter an ID that uniquely identifies execution of AEID in the Execution IDfield.
  9. Select the Data Source against which the AEID is executed from the Target Data SourceID list box.
  10. Click the Form Statement Only check box to enable it to form and log the Instruction text, but not execute it.
  11. Click the Continue On Error check box to enable it, processing of the AEID proceeds if errors or failures occur.
  12. Click Save.
