Target Import: Excel Import H
Use this page to Import Target Design from an Excel File.
To access this page:
- Select Advanced Data Migration in the Navigation pane.
- Select Design in the Context bar.
- Click Target Import in the Navigation pane.
- Click the Excel Importicon.

EXCEL TEMPLATE |
Click to download the formatted TargetImport_Template.xls. The template contains instructions for data entry. Refer to Complete the Excel File for more information. |

EXCEL FILE PATH |
Click to upload the completed template to the path and data source. The uploaded Excel file is saved to the import file data source path before it is imported. The default import file data source is cMap_Design_File Path. If needed, set a different path on the Target Import Configuration page (Configuration > Import Setup). |

Import |
Click to import the Excel file. During the import, new records are added to the tables, fields, and look up tables. If the records have been imported into the Target previously, updates are applied to existing tables, fields and lookup tables. NOTE: A file must have been uploaded prior to import. |
