Security Page Roles

Use this page to View Security by Page.

To access this page:

  1. Select Admin > Security > Security Management > Security Pages in the Navigation pane.
  2. Click the Roles icon for the security page description.

Field

Description

ROLE ID

Displays the role that has security to the selected page.

PAGE DESCRIPTION ID

Displays the name of the page as it appears in the WebApp.

PAGE TYPE

Displays the type of page. Options are:

  • Chart — Pages of this type display data in a visual format for easier interpretation.
  • Dashboard — Pages of this type contain layouts, which allow the Designer to render several Chart pages at once depending on the configured layout.
  • Dynamic — Pages of this type are the standard pages of the framework that allow for configured column controls and data manipulation.
  • Header Detail — Pages of this type display two linked pages in parent and dependent panes.
  • Report — Pages of this type are used as read-only renderings of data similar to Dynamic pages. With this page type, an automatic “Reports” link is added to the component’s switchboard and each report page is shown as a page link.
  • Service — Pages of this type are configured to run events on a pre-defined interval. Both units of measurement and quantity of measurement can be defined. These pages run in the background.
  • Static — Pages of this type allow the Designer to embed an external resource, whether a file, .aspx page, or other web resources.

TABLE

Displays the name of the table or view where changes are stored for the given page.

ALLOW SELECT

If checked, the Role ID can view the page and data on the page.

ALLOW INSERT

If checked, the Role ID can add data to the page.

ALLOW UPDATE

If checked, the Role ID can edit data on the page.

ALLOW DELETE

If checked, the Role ID can delete data from the page.

Users

Click to open the Security Role User page to view all users created for this instance of the Stewardship Tier. If IS ROLE MEMBER is checked, the user has been assigned to the security role. Refer to Add or Remove Users in Page Security for more information.

The count on the icon is the total number of users registered to the role.
