Configure the Repository in the CMC

To configure the Repository in the Central Management Console (CMC):

1. Log in to the CMC.

   

2. On the Home page, under the Organize section, click Data Services.

3. Click the icon for Configure a New Data Services repository.

   

4. Enter the name in the Repository Name field.

   NOTE: It does not have to be the same as the database name.

5. Enter the Description in the Description field.

6. Enter Microsoft SQL Server in the Database Type field.

7. Enter IP Address for the SQL Server with the data repository database in the Database Server Name field.

8. Leave the default 1433 in the Port field.

9. Enter the name of the database created in Create a Database for the Repository in the Database Name field.

10. Select No in the Windows Authentication list box.

11. Enter user name in the User Name field.

12. Enter password in the Password field.

13. Select No in the Is Profiler Repository list box.

    

14. Click Test Connection.

    NOTE: The message "Successfully connected to repository" displays.

15. Click Save. The repository is listed on the main page.
