Description

Displays order of field within the system table.

Displays name of field within the system table.

NOTE: The validation will fail if the field name is not unique.

Displays brief description of the field.

If a description exists, it is included with the field name in the SOURCE FIELD field (on the Field Mappings page) in Map in order to facilitate the mapping process.

If a description does not exist, the Source ID displays with the field name.

If enabled, the field is the key on the table.

Displays data type for the field, for example, int or nvarchar.

Displays number of characters permitted by the field.

If enabled, this content is installed with the Stewardship Tier and cannot be edited.

If disabled, the content was added by a user or process.

Field Details

Displays data type for field, for example, int or nvarchar.

Displays number of characters permitted by field.

Displays the number of decimal places allowed in numeric fields that allow for decimals.

Displays the format of the field used to validate the data in this field during Data Services AutoGen and Construct Data entry. Values are Date, Time, Decimal and Checkbox.

For example, the Date Format for a target is set at YYYYDDMM.

This value will be loaded into Target Design's Target Fields page.

If enabled, the table field is marked Active when the table is used in the mapping process by Map. If disabled, the table field is made inactive until manually activated. The default value for this check box is enabled for manually entered fields and disabled for system-imported fields.

If enabled, the field is marked as Rule Only. A Rule Only field is part of the table creation process, but is excluded from being moved between the Source Table to the Source Table in the Object database, or between the Source Table in the Object database to the Target Table in the Object database.

Original Field Details

NOTE: During the System Type Model Import process, the values in this section are stored so that a complete set of metadata for the original System Type can be transferred to the Syniti cloud. If these fields were populated as part of the System Type Model Import process, they must not be updated.
If the System Type was added another way, these fields can be edited.

Displays the original data type for the field, for example, RAW or NUMC.

Displays the original number of characters permitted by the field.

Displays the original number of decimal places allowed in numeric fields that allow for decimals.

Description

Displays the name of the screen in the ERP system that contains the field.

Displays helpful information about the field. For System Types delivered with the Stewardship Tier, this field is imported directly from the System Type help documentation.

Displays a user-entered comment about the target field.
