Field

Description

DATA SOURCE ID

Displays the data source that contains the parent and the child tables, and table columns for the Structure Data.

TABLE

Displays the name of either the parent or the child table.

COLUMN

Displays the column name within the table, which could be either the parent or the child table.

COMPARE

If checked, the values for the selected column are included in the compare process, where the value in the host database is compared to the same value in the destination database.

If unchecked, the values for the column are not included in the compare process.

SYNC

If checked, the values for the selected column are included in the sync process, which syncs the value in the host database to the corresponding column in the destination database.

If unchecked, the values for the column are not included in the sync process.

NOTE: Some fields should not be synchronized, such as user names, passwords or other sensitive data.

SIMPLE SELECTION

If checked, a view containing a list of allowable values for the selected field is created. When creating a Package or Package Template the checked field is available for selection in the Structure Data Focus_Simple Field list box and allowable values can be selected from the Structure Data Focus_Simple Value list box. This functionality is useful when there is a requirement to select only a single value to drive the selection of records to be transported.

If unchecked, the field is not included in the Structure Data Focus_Simple Field list box on the Vertical View of the Packages page and is therefore not used as a filter criterion.

Refer to Use a Simple Selection List for more information.

KEY

If checked, the column is a Primary Key on the table and is used to drive comparison process. The key field is automatically set based on the definition of the underlying table.

If unchecked, the column is not the Primary Key on the table.

PARENT LINK COLUMN

Displays the relationship of the tables as defined by the foreign keys.

BINARY DATA

If checked, binary data exists in the designated column within the source database. Promote has specific logic to convert these binary columns to a column that is able to be transported to the target.

If unchecked, there is no binary data in the designated column within the source database.

Large Data

Allows columns with large amounts of data (e.g., 1 MB) to work with the comparison process.

If checked, the text “Large Data” displays for the Large Data column on the Package - Data Comparison Records page.

If unchecked, and a column being compared contains large amounts of data, the Package - Data Comparison Records page will fail to load.

NOTE: This check box is disabled for delivered Promote configurations; however, clients can update this field on custom Structure Data records.
