Set Up Security for MDM

To set up security:

  1. Create user accounts in System Administration.

  2. When granting user access to MDM, either:

    • Assign the user to a security role that contains the positions the user can access or
    • Assign the positions to the user through a user-specific security definition.

    NOTE: A user must belong to the Users Manager WebApp Group in MDM to configure security for MDM users. Refer to Set Security for more information.

  3. Manage Master Data Management Positions

NOTE: Users with configured permissions can set a further level of restricted security that affects request role access across MDM. Using Restricted positions, request roles in MDM require that a user must be assigned to both the role and the business process in the same position for that user to access the request. Refer to Set Restricted Position Access for more information.

To remove the WebApp Group:

  1. Select Admin > Security > Security Management > Security Roles in the Navigation pane.

  2. From the Security Roles page, click WEBAPP GROUPS for the Migration Developer Advanced role.

  3. Locate the Collect WorkFlowFailureAll WebApp group.

  4. Click Delete.

  5. Repeat steps 2-4 for the System Administrator role.
