Field

Description

Version

Displays the current version of Promote.

Approval Mode

If checked, an approval process for packages is required before packages can be transported.

If not checked, packages can be transported without approval.

This field is disabled by default. Refer to Package Group Approval Process for more information.

Debug

This field is not used.

Email From

Displays the email address used in the "From" field of package group request approval email notifications.

Default Batch Size

Displays the batch size to transport data between instances. If large numbers of records/objects are transported, there is a possibility of a timeout during the data transport. By entering a batch size, the data transfer process is broken down into separate, smaller batches. The default value is 0, which means that all records are transported in 1 batch.

Default Include dgSAP Views

If checked, objects dependent on SQL objects in databases prefaced with “dgSAP” (such as dgSAP_Dev, dgSAP_QE, etc.) are included in the transport.

If unchecked, objects dependent on SQL objects in databases prefaced with “dgSAP” (such as dgSAP_Dev, dgSAP_QE, etc.) are excluded from the transport.

By default, this parameter is disabled. This configuration is applied to all packages; however, it can be overridden at the package level on the Packages page’s Vertical View.

Allow Delivered Database SQL Changes

If checked, databases delivered with the Stewardship Tier can be temporarily unprotected for a package, allowing Power Users to transport SQL Object changes made to delivered applications. Enable this setting to transport core modifications. Be sure to backup the target system before transporting the changes.

If unchecked, databases delivered with the Stewardship Tier cannot be temporarily unprotected for a package.

NOTE: Only when this setting is enabled does a setting become available on the Packages page to allow changes on delivered databases for a package. Both of these settings must be enabled in order to transport core modifications.
