INSTALLATION NOTES FOR Stewardship Tier 7.4.8 AND LATER
The SAP transports for Stewardship Tier installations are now split into 2 packages and are documented separately.

Core—contains the functions and programs required by Stewardship Tier to extract data via RFC and load via BDC. These transports are distributed with the Stewardship Tier installation in versions 7.4.8 and later.

Supplementary—miscellaneous functions, programs, and utilities for supporting SAP-based projects. Contact Syniti Support and raise a support ticket to get this transport.
The code in the Core transports has been modernized to adhere to latest ABAP coding standards. Both the Core and Supplementary transports are compatible with SAP installations of EHP 7 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 [SAP_APPL 617] (based on SAP NETWEAVER 740 [SAP_BASIS 740]) or higher.
NOTE: Customers using older versions of SAP can contact Syniti Support who will assist in locating versions of the required programs and functions that are compatible with their SAP Instance.

IMPORTANT UPGRADE NOTES
NOTE: If psaCollate is installed on the instance you are upgrading, you must uninstall it before upgrading to this version. The collation technology is included in the product in 7.4.5 and later. To uninstall psaCollate refer to the Knowledge Base article psaCollate Incompatible with SST 7.4.5+.
NOTE: When upgrading to Stewardship Tier 7.4.5 AND LATER, data sources are automatically assigned with the Collation Type of General Latin Case-insensitive. This ensures that the ADM AutoGen continues to create SQL tables whose text columns have a case-insensitive collation.
NOTE: When upgrading to Stewardship Tier 8.0.5 AND LATER, open a support ticket with Syniti Support to request a new license in order to use Remediate, which is part of Master Data Management.
NOTE: A new, critical step has been added to the Post Upgrade section of the Installation process. After an upgrade to Stewardship Tier, users must re-create their BAPI templates. Failing to do so will cause the posting of a BAPI template to fail. Refer to

NOTE IF YOU ARE UPGRADING TO 7.4.2 OR HIGHER: Please be aware that any JavaScript content added is stripped away and any remaining, safe HTML is displayed to users. In Stewardship Tier versions 7.4.1 and earlier, users were permitted to enter HTML and have it rendered in the UI or included in file downloads from the UI. There were no restrictions in place on what HTML/JavaScript text was permitted, leading to potentially dangerous cross-site scripting attacks. Refer to the Knowledge base article Unsafe HTML/JavaScript removed in Stewardship Tier 7.4.2 for more information.
WARNING: Customizations made to any component of the delivered Syniti Solutions will be overwritten in the next upgrade. To preserve customizations, make a copy of the customizations prior to applying any upgrade.
A customization is a change to the underlying source code, which differs from configuration – normal setup of the software, such as setting up workflows and defining parameters via the configuration pages.
New Features
Master Data Management
Stewardship Tier 8.0.5 introduces Remediate: a new component of Syniti Master Data Management that allows data that does not conform to data quality rules enforced by the Syniti Knowledge Platform Data Quality solution to be routed to business users for resolution.
Refer to the Remediate online help for more information about this new component.
NOTE: To use Remediate, a new Stewardship Tier license must be installed. Request a new license by opening a support ticket with Syniti Support.

Master Data Management

We improved the user experience on the Mass Change page by adding validation messages when a Primary Key or a Foreign Key field is selected for the Column Name.

We increased performance on the Task page, which calls the webTask_ChildPage function that exponentially decreases the page’s performance as more pages are added, specifically pertaining to the Task Page List Updated field. To increase performance, we have removed this field and created a new report, Task Page List May Need To Be Refreshed, which shows the tasks where the page list doesn’t match the actual child pages.
Stewardship Tier

The Stewardship Tier is now certified on Windows Server 2022 and MS SQL Server 2022. Syniti will no longer certify against MS SQL Server 2016. Refer to the Stewardship Tier Certification Matrix for further details of the platforms that Syniti certifies against.

Version 8.0.5 of the Stewardship Tier supports Syniti Data Replication version 9.8.3.
System Administration
IIS protects against the host header being updated and an error may display. Avoid an issue with host heading information leaking by setting the Host Name on the “Default Web Site” IIS bindings during the installation process. Refer to Configure IIS in the installation manual for more information.
Promote
Improved the user experience of Promote workflows by rewriting the Approval Workflow email text to be clearer and more concise.

Fixed an issue where assigning the Post or Post Workflow tasks to a Post role and clicking the Refresh Page List icon on the Scenario Role Task page caused an error. [SST-202]

Fixed an issue where the Column list box on the Task Final Finish Where Clause page was not working correctly. [SST-148]

Fixed an issue that caused the Archived Request Post Process page to display blank for all users not in the ArchiveUser WebApp group. With the fix, the page displays correctly for all users. [SST-56]

Fixed an issue on the Request Role page where the order of rules on the Finish event was preventing the Custom Workflow parameters from being included in the workflow message. With this fix, the order of events is correct and working as expected. [SST-222]
Stewardship Tier
Fixed an issue where the scroll bar did not reset to the top of the page when moving between tabs on the same page. The scroll bar now consistently stays at the top of the tab as expected. [SST-57]
System Administration

Fixed an issue where the User Application Access Download report was displaying incomplete data. The results were filtered to only records that were assigned via user-specific assignment to WebApp Groups. With this fix, the report shows access grants via user-specific assignment to WebApp Groups and via user assignment to Security Roles. [SST-144]

Fixed an issue with images where the file extension on the Images page did not match the file extension seen in File Explorer. With this fix:

A validation message was added to ensure svg images have Include in Sprite disabled since image sprites do not support svg images

High-contrast images are automatically generated for svg images and are automatically applied if the user switches to a high contrast style [SST-163]

The delivered catch-all Data Type was missing, which caused the source columns to be ignored.

The NewDataLength value for TIMS and DATS records was 0 when it should have been 20. [SST-239]

Fixed an issue where the Field Defined Length on the Table Field (Results) page did not match the value in the database as expected. [SST-81]
Data Quality
Fixed an issue where automated reports set to run yearly sent multiple reports instead of just 1 report. The yearly option now sends 1 report on the selected day as expected. [SST-172]
